The fast may begin on any Thursday. The rituals listed below can be performed.
On a Thursday, get up early and meditate while taking a bath, wearing clean clothes.
Panchamrit should be used to cleanse Sai Baba's idol.
Now, worship Sai Baba and make a vow to fast.
Lay a blank yellow cloth on Baba's seat during the Puja.
Install the Sai idol on his seat now.
Light a ghee lamp and incense sticks in front of the statue.
Sandalwood or Kumkum/vermilion Tilak should be applied to Sai Baba.
Following that, present yellow flowers to Sai Baba.
Read the Sai Vrat Katha aloud.
The Sai Chalisa should be read.
Finally, say the Sai Baba Aarti.
After offering prayers to Sai, distribute sweets.
